2 buts et 3 passes décisives en 18 matches. C’est le bilan affiché par Eric Hassli en MLS cette saison. Loin, bien loin des 10 réalisations et 2 passes décisives en 26 matches de l’année dernière. A tel point que l’attaquant français des Vancouver Whitecaps a perdu sa place de titulaire, au profit du jeune Darren Mattocks. Pire, le premier joueur désigné de l’histoire des Caps s’est blessé à la cheville le week-end dernier au Chicago Fire (défaite 1-0), et devrait observer quelques jours de repos forcé. Physiquement à court, l’ancien Messin a également pris un coup sur le moral, avec le départ de son coéquipier et ami Davide Chiumiento, parti au pays à contrecoeur, rejoindre l’ancien club du géant, le FC Zürich. Auteur d’une très bonne première saison en MLS l’an passé, Eric Hassli n’affiche pas le même rendement depuis le début de l'exercice. Le Français est en panne, physiquement et moralement.
